However, in practice, you can install iTunes on all Windows operating systems from XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 to Windows 10 without hassle.

Installation Guide for iTunes
After downloading iTunes, follow these steps to install:
Step 1: Click the downloaded .exe file, and the interface below will appear. Just press Next to proceed with installation.
Note: Make sure to download the correct file from Softbuzz’s official website. If you downloaded a .rar or .zip file and encounter extraction errors, fix it by repairing WinRAR extraction errors.
Step 2: You may choose options 1 2 3 or skip, it doesn’t matter. Selecting 1 will create an iTunes icon on desktop. Number 2 sets iTunes as the default music player. Number 3 enables auto-update of iTunes when a new version is available. Leave default and click Install.
Step 3: The installation process is quick. When it finishes, a screen like below will appear. Just click Finish to open iTunes.
Step 4: When opening iTunes, connect your iPhone to the PC with a USB cable. Then choose Trust to trust the iPhone and Windows PC.
Step 5: Continue by clicking Continue
Step 6: After clicking Continue, you need to click Get Started to synchronize your iPhone with iTunes
Step 7: Click Authorize to confirm access rights to the iPhone libraries
